#10 Audiobooks

A new addition to the SPPL catalog is a collection of downloadable eAudiobooks from NetLibrary.

You can find eAudiobooks listed in the catalog, but in order to download and listen to one, you must first create an account with NetLibrary.

For this discovery exercise, you only need to familiarize yourself with the structure of NetLibrary's downloadable eAudiobooks site and get an idea what you can find there.

Discovery Exercise:

1. Establish a NetLibrary account for yourself:

• Access NetLibrary from inside the library or outside the library.
• If you already have an account, you can access NetLibrary directly at http://www.netlibrary.com/.

2. Click on the eAudiobooks link and explore some of the titles.

3. Create a blog post about your findings.

OPTIONAL: Try downloading a title from the NetLibrary. You don’t have to have a portable player to listen to audiobooks, you can also listen to it from a computer.

Each branch should have a portable audio player for training/playing/experimenting. Get your hands on your branch's player and give transferring titles a try!
